More Fun Than Ever Before
The many children’s events at the Kutztown Folk Festival are fun for all ages! The Children’s Farmyard Theater presents puppet shows, sing-alongs, story time, magic, a ventriloquist, and more. Kids can also enjoy craft and play areas.
One of our most popular attractions is the Children's Petting Zoo where kids and adults can feed and pet our wonderful tame farm animals. Traditional games are also featured along with a hay maze.
New to the festival are more hands-on activities for your children, including puppet making, more sing-along music, and barn star drawing!

PA Dutch Essay Contest
The Kutztown Folk Festival is sponsoring an essay contest for school students. Students should write an essay addressing the importance of Pennsylvania German history and culture in their lives. The essay can be personal, based upon the writer’s own family or individual experiences; or it can be more general, describing the influences of Pennsylvania German culture in our region or nation.
