Art Trail with Jonathan Bond (Copy)
Join us for a Fall bus tour of Jonathan Bond’s Art Trail. Pennsylvania artist Jonathan Bond resides in rural Berks County where his art gallery is nestled among the gentle declivities of farmland. Jon draws inspiration from the rustic unspoiled scenery surrounding his home. His paintings reflect the awesome sunsets and atmospherics of the Kittatinny Ridge and iconic farmsteads of Pennsylvania Dutch Country. Jon works primarily in oils and egg tempera., most often on wood panels, and occasionally on scraps of cardboard when preparing studies or sketches. He also works in watercolour, silverpoint, and pen and ink. Jon has exhibited in countless juried shows and has been awarded numerous honors for his work. He has presented a dozen solo exhibitions. His art adorns homes, businesses and churches throughout eastern Pennsylvania and the United States. 2023 marks the 49th year of Jon’s profession as a painter and graphic artist. Jon estimates that he’s painted nearly 2,400 original paintings and designed more than 32,000 graphics for signs, murals, garments, vehicles, and advertisements. $50 per person includes bus tour, snack refreshment, and listening to Jonathan Bond narrate live on the tour. Choose one of two rides: 10am or 1pm.

Dutch Hex Sign Bike Tour
Our family-friendly and leisurely bike tour originating at the PA German Cultural Heritage Center includes a map of backroads you can ride and view hex sign art, bottled water, t-shirt, and tote bag. Ride your choice of two different routes, a short version or a longer version covering 21 miles.

A perfect trip for the quilter or anyone interested in quilts, shopping and Pennsylvania Dutch. Travel to Harrisburg and Lancaster with our Quilt, Education and Development Director, Cyndi Hershey and view the Pennsylvania State Museum’s Art of the State Exhibit. Then travel to Lancaster and enjoy lunch and shopping on your own at Kitchen Kettle Village. Choose to spend your afternoon at Kitchen Kettle Village or choose to visit two quilt fabric stores - Old Country Store and Zook’s Fabric Store. Spend a beautiful day out this Fall!

Join the Kutztown Folk Festival for our Farm to Table Dinner Event at Kutztown’s Rodale Institute.
Enjoy a wagon ride to Rodale Institute's Garden Pavilion for wine tasting.
Dinner will be presented by Dundore & Heister complete with appetizers and dessert.
Local artists and craftsmen will be available to demonstrate and sell their products.
Enjoy a fire pit and cash bar by Stony Run Winery during and after dinner. Ticketed event.

The Homesweet Homegrown organic farm is offering a special Pennsylvania Dutch inspired dinner at our field! Every guest will receive a bottle of Kutztown Folk Festival hot sauce and a declicious home-cooked meal by Chef Sarah Collins from HIVE cafe.
Food will be served buffet style in a beautiful outdoor setting at the Homesweet Homegrown pepper field. Homesweet Homegrown has been featured in Food & Wine, CNBC, Martha Stewart, Women’s Health, Bon Appetite, and Thrillist.
A three-course meal including a glass of sangria with local peaches. Seating is limited to 50 people and attire is casual.

PA Dutch spaetzle with field vegetables, gouda, and basil pesto

Turn on South Laurel St.
Left on Broad into the Kutztown Park.
Curve around to the right past the dog park.
Turn left on the alley at Babe Ruth field.
Turn left into the parking area.
There is additional parking at the tennis courts.
