Q-What are the conditions of the Fairgrounds?

We are ADA approved and wheelchair accessible and, although some of the exhibits are on grass under tents, they are also accessible except if exceptionally rainy, which usually is not the case. We have a lot of buildings as well and our large quilt building that is air conditioned. In the event of rain, everything is either inside or under large tents. We have 5 stages of entertainment with seating, as well as ample seating in food areas and around the grounds. We have either a bench or a hay bale for seating about every 30 feet of any walking you may be doing.

Our bathrooms are permanent facilities in buildings and are clean and freshly painted each year. They are kept clean by porters throughout the day. There are bathrooms that are handicap accessible located on the side of the Quilt Barn, as well as two handicapped port-a-johns each located in front of our other two main bathroom facilities.

Our Festival is senior friendly, but there is a lot of walking, albeit most of it flat. We have complimentary wheelchairs or electric scooters you can rent by the day or ½ day. (back to top)
